Zelda Ocarina of Time relived: The story

Prologue

In the land of Hyrule, deep inside the realm of darkness, lay the king of darkness known as Ganondorf.
Ganondorf was once the leader of the fierce Gerudo race, however, he became evil and longed for greatness.
He swore false loyalty to the King of Hyrule, nobody, not the king, not even his own Gerudo race knew.
Except one person, Princess Zelda XII, Ganondorf knew she wanted to stop him, which gave him an idea.
He wrecked havoc on each region of Hyrule that held one of the three spritual stones that had the power to
unlock the sacred realm, Ganondorf did this in hopes Zelda would send a supposed 'hero' to gather the
stones and unlock the realm before he did, this hero was Link; he collected each spiritual stone and opened
the door of time, enabling him to pull out the master sword which slept within.
However this was all to Ganondorf's plan, he followed Link into the sacred realm and touched the legendary
triforce, but because his heart was composed of pure evil the Triforce shattered into 3 pieces, Power,
Wisdom, and Courage.
Ganondorf of course was granted the Triforce of Power as his personality relfected overwhelming power, Link
was granted the Triforce of Courage and Zelda the Triforce of Wisdom.
Over the next 7 years Ganondorf completely conquered and left Hyrule on the brink of destruction, sparing
only Gerudo Valley.
Link finally awakened from his 7 year sleep, now an adult as the Hero of Time; he repaired the damage
Ganondorf had created over Hyrule along with the power of the Sages and finally, along with Zelda and the
sages they banished him to the Realm of Darkness, these events never left Ganondorf's memories.

After many years of being trapped within the realm, Ganondorf began to focus his power more and more, soon
his power had grown beyond compare, his power was so strong now that an immense light shone inside the
realm, on the brink of insanity, Ganondorf touched the light, as soon as his fingers touched the light he
suddenly began to feel his own power engulf him, it was too much the bare, and he blacked out shortly
afterwards.
When he woke up however, he found himself in Gerudo Valley as younger version of himself, 5 years before
Link was born! Using his knowledge of the 'past' he began to make plans, ensuring Link would not foil his
plans again.
After two years of being in the past trying to devise a way to kill Link without affecting history that
much, he thought up a plan of not to kill Link, but to kill his mother.
After some time spent searching, he finally found her, Link's mother was a beautiful young woman with
lovely blonde hair and sparkling brown eyes, Her beauty didn't stop Gandondorf though, having a heart
darker than coal. When she was in refuge from the war, Ganondorf tracked her down and killed her where no
one would find her - The Shadow Temple. Now all Ganondorf had to do was relive his younger years better
prepared. However, though link was now dead that didn't stop the three godesses of hyrule, Din, Nayru and
Farore. The godesses, as a last resort, broke the Triforce of Courage into 5 different pieces. Each to be
given to an individual, each from a different race.
A clever Zora named Axl.

A warm hearted, but hot headed Deku scrub named Shrubby.

A cowardly Hylian named Oranoas.

A mischeivious Kokiri named Steel.

A clever Gerudo named Sand.

And an aquaphobic Sheikah named Verne.

With their work done once more, the Goddesses could only hope their work was not in vain...
Thus begins, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Relived.

**Axl's Quest**

"This is your destiny, prince Axl, you cannot defy it!" An elderly Zora began to yell, he was talking to Axl, prince of the Zoras and heir to the throne, "Sorry, I don't talk to lunatics..." the royal zora laughed as he walked away from him "If you do not go soon, SOMETHING. TERRIBLE. WILL. HAPPEN!" the elder warned, but Axl did not hear him. He grabbed his training scythe, brushing the blood-red tinted fins from his eyes and then headed towards Zora'a Fountain, sitting down on top of a pillar next to Lord Jabu Jabu he told him "I don't see why he's not locked up, Ever since he appeared it's like he placed a curse on me!" he was about to ramble on about the recent happenings in his life, but noticed that Jabu Jabu looked very ill, he wasn't as lively as usual and Axl's sister, Ruto wasn't there to feed him. Immediately suspecting the elder zora, Axl silently grabbed his scythe, heading towards the Elder's house with fire in his eyes.

Axl yelled "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM!?" walking into the Elder's home expecting the Elder to laugh evilly or something similar, but instead the elder looked him in the eye, then calmly replied "Nothing boy, don't be silly." Axl yelled back at him in disbelief "I KNOW YOU DID SOMETHING! DO YOU WANT TO BE PET FOOD!?" the Elder sat down for a second, and finally replied "Really, tell me now, why would I want to harm Lord Jabu Jabu?" Axl was speechless, he couldn't think of an appropriate answer. He finally took himself a second to calm down, then sat himself next to the Elder, the Elder asked him first "Tell me, What's going on?".

After a few hours of Axl explaining to the Elder about how his life was turned upside down ever since he arrived in the domain, and Lord Jabu Jabu's recent unknown sickness; the Elder immediately realised what was happening to him, and to explain that by avoiding destiny, he would be cursed by bad luck for the rest of his life. "Come, I'll show you something." The Elder walked into a small corridor, with Axl following. The room's supernatural decorations suddenly began to twist into a spiral shape Axl looked around the corridor as he soon found him walking on what seemed to be a sideways floor, simply saying "Uhh..." The elder heard this, and replied "Don't be alarmed by it's appearance, it's still a corridor." he reassured. The corridor eventually lead into a room composed of bare rock, with a mural carved into one of the walls "Take a look." The elder told him, Axl looked into the mural; and instanly found what seemed to be a carving of an older version of himself standing proudly in front of various people from the other races that live in Hyrule. "That's me." Axl told the Elder, not believing what he was seeing. "Very Good, This mural dates back to the creation of Hyrule, I don't know if you've already guessed already, but this is indeed, the legend of the ancient zoras." The elder pointed to the Axl-like figure "Lone Prince... that's you, Axl." then to a Deku Scrub-like figure "Vengeful Deku..." then he pointed towards a hylian figure "Cowardly Villager..." to a child "Rebellious Child..." and finally to a hooded figure "And the Traveller of Shadows." The Elder finished "You shall lead this team of heroes and save the land of Hyrule!" Axl began to get a bit bored, but pointed out "Problem, I don't where to go." The elder laughed slightly, then answered "Go to the Kokiri Forest, there you will find the Vengeful Deku, don't worry about the curse, you should be fine with your... should I say... powers..." Axl replied asking "What pow-" but was interrupted when the Elder began to escort him back into the main room of his house.

"Don't forget what I told you, and don't waste any more time." The Elder said goodbye as Axl was at the entrance of his house, Axl turned around to ask the elder about the Deku Scrub's name, but there was no sign of neither the elder, or the entrance to the twisted corridor. "What the Din..." Axl thought to himself, as he went to see his father.

"You're leaving?" King Zora asked "Yeah. That old guy said it was my destiny or something." Axl replied, the King looked confused for a second, asking Axl "What 'old guy?'" But he didn't get a reply, Axl was already gone.

You may be asking about the legend, but the Goddesses didn't just give the triforce to new hosts, they also had to make some timeline changes, such as the Great Deku Tree's memories and everything mentioning OOT Link.

**Forest Troubles**

Axl's journey across Hyrule Field was nevertheless uneventful, he made it to the forest around mid-day with
few to zero injuries. Walking through the entrance to the forest, he thought to himself 'So...this is the
forest...' as he crossed a wooden bridge he felt something small slam into him and knock him off balance.
"What the-" Axl regained his balance and turned around to see a small Deku Scrub climb to it's feet "Who're
you." Axl asked, having the Deku Scrub introduce himself "Name's Raymond, what's yours?" Axl too introduced
himself "I'm Axl, I'm supposed to be finding a 'Vengeful Deku' somewhere, you're not him are you?" Raymond
shook his head "I got nothing to be vengeful about, but man, I haven't been here for years!" he replied as
he walked over to the edge of the bridge overlooking the lost woods, he then turned towards Axl and asked
him "I think I might follow you for a bit, that ok?" to which Axl nodded, and the two proceeded to enter
the forest.

"This is the forest?" Axl asked, the forest seemed empty "Yeah, I remember this stuff happens, try to avoid
walking into Fairies, by that I mean those flying balls of light with wings." Raymond warned him "Lets go,
this place is already giving me the chills." Axl replied, some of the fairies seemed to be floating above
something, or someone. Up ahead was a large tree stump, with two fairies talking to eachother above it, but
Axl nor Raymond could make out which one was talking to who."Did'ja hear? The Deku Tree's been poisoned!
What!? He told us not to tell any Kokiri, I mean, think of the CRYING we'd hear! But anyway... so I saw his fairy the
other day, turns out Shrubby..." was all they could hear from the fairies "Who's Shrubby?" Axl asked
Raymond "No idea." he replied, Axl looked down and facepalmed, saying "Damn.." Raymond had an idea though,
and recommended "We'd probably find him at the Deku Tree if he's the one you're looking for, I'll show you
the way." Axl nodded, and let Raymond take the lead.

Axl saw a Deku Scrub with a worried look on his face after travelling through the forest for about an hour,
he walked up to him and asked "Are you called Shrubby? We've been looking everywhere for him." but the
Deku Scrub ignored him and began to run, it looked like he was holding herbs of some sort, he seemed to be
in a great hurry as he skipped across some small pools of forest water. Axl began to chase after him
leaving Raymond behind, determined to get an answer, "Wait up!!" he called out, the Deku Scrub heard this
and immediately skid to a halt, he turned his head slightly giving the reply "No time, gotta hurry!" as he
started to run again.

The two were running for quite some time, but eventually the Deku Scrub stopped running and this allowed an
exhausted Axl to finally catch up, "Man...I never knew Dekus could run...so fast..." Axl said resting his
hands onto his knees "Are you Shrubby?" Axl finally managed to ask, to which the Deku Scrub nodded, he was
indeed Shrubby. When he eventually looked up there stood the biggest tree Axl had ever seen in his entire
life, strangely enough it had a face that looked very ill, "Is that the Deku Tree?" Axl asked, Shrubby
looked up at the tree, then replied "Yes, he's my friend and teacher." before turning towards Axl "And I've
been practicing my running!" he chuckled. The two were about to converse, but there was a loud voice, it
was the Deku Tree "Are thou... thy heroes... that will save thy greath land of Hyrule...?" he spoke weakly,
he sounded like he was dying a painful death. "Is that what you meant when you said that I was destined for
greatness? Oak told me that everyone is saying that." Shrubby asked, the Deku Tree was about to reply, but
was cut off by another voice in the distance "GET THE **** OUT OF THE WAY, MIDO!" it yelled, Axl recognised
the voice and he turned to see Raymond walking into the Deku Tree's meadow "There you are!" he said with
relief "Hey Raymond." Axl welcomed him "Man, I was completely lost after you guys ran off..." Raymond said
as he walked up to the other two heroes.

The trio were informed that the Deku Tree had been cursed with a parasitic spider that was eating away the
Deku Tree's life, while Raymond was given a fill-in on the events that took place during his short abence,
"Thou three must enter thy body and rid thy of thy parasite." The Deku Tree informed as he open his mouth
so the trio could enter "You guys ready?" Axl asked, to which Raymond nodded, but Shrubby wasn't so sure
""Ready... but I'm not sure about my swimming abilities...so far I can swim about three feet and stay
afloat for around a minute." He said. Axl suggested to him "You can climb on my back if you want." "What
about Raymond? He's a Deku Scrub too." "He can climb on too." Raymond was getting slightly impatient "So
we going inside or what!?" He slightly raised his voice, Shrubby heard this and immediately began to enter
the Deku Tree "We've got to try and save him!" he ran into the Deku Tree eagerly, with the others slowly
following...

**Deku Dangers**

"Man it's so dark in here!" Raymond said, the Deku Tree was too dark to see anything inside, there was also
a hole in the floor with vines growing out of it, but it had been blocked by a large web. "Hold on." Axl
said as he lit up a torch "Much better." the room was structured a sprial-like shape with vines and
ladders; Shrubby was nowhere to be seen "Wait, where's Shrubby?" Raymond asked "Probably went ahead."
replied Axl as he grabbed a vine and started climbing "Come on." he called Raymond who instead used a
ladder to reach higher ground "Lets go find Shrubby then!" Raymond said as he eyed a door that was on
another ledge; between them was a small gap and a bridge, after crossing the small gap Axl managed to find
a large treasure chest buried under a pile of wood; inside it was a treasure map which gave information
about the rooms of the Deku Tree.

The small team entered the door that they had previously spotted and suprisingly it was of a variety that
opened automatically! The room beyond however was empty except for a barred door and a single Deku Flower
"Looks like Deku Scrubs live here." Axl said as a Deku Scrub emerged and began to spit Deku Nuts at Axl,
normally here the Deku Scrub's Deku Nuts would be reflected by a shield, but that's not how it works in
this version. Axl walked up to the Deku Scrub who promptly hid inside it's flower, but that wasn't enough
to hide from him, Axl took his Scythe and plunged it into the flower, pulling out the now-wounded Deku
Scrub, who Axl had now convinced to spill the beans. "Ow-ow-ow! Forgive me, master! If I give you a clue,
will you let me go!?" it cried, to which Axl slowly nodded. "Well, when you jump off a high cliff, if you
roll on the ground when you land and won't get hurt from the fall. I can't guarantee it'll work, though, if
you cliff if really, REALLY high, heh heh! Well, try it if you are feeling bold!" Axl shook the Deku Scrub
in anger "What kind of hint was that!?" "Wah ha hah! You should've thought of that earlier!" the scrub
laughed as if broke free of the scythe and ran away, the second that the Deku Scrub disappeared the barred
door's bars rose, allowing Axl and Raymond to open it.

The first sight of the next room was Shrubby sitting on a treasure chest holding a slingshot and a fragile
stone platform in the middle of the room, Axl subconsciously jumped onto the platform, but the instant both
of his feet touched the platform it crumbled, leaving Axl with light injuries lying in a pile of rubble.
"Should I mention the platform was on the verge of breaking?" Shrubby chuckled as Axl stood up brushed some
dust off his Tunic as Raymond jumped down to help. "Thanks..." Axl said "Don't worry about it!" Raymond
replied, the two began looking for a way up to Shrubby's level and Axl eventually discovered a vine that he
could use, but had to leave Raymond below due to the fact he couldn't climb vines. "Catch." Shrubby threw
a slingshot over to Axl as soon as he finished climbing "I don't need it, I can shoot Deku Nuts naturally."
Shrubby explained "Thanks." Axl took the Slingshot "Now how do we get out?" he asked before spotting a
ladder jammed above the room's entrance, using his new slingshot he shot a Deku nut at the ladder making it
fall onto the ground below as an easy escape route.

Back in the main room Shrubby lead the team to a patch of vines that was previously unnoticed by the
others. "I'll go first." Shrubby told everyone has he grabbed onto one of the vines, only to be knocked off
them by a Skullwalltula. "We gotta get them off, somehow." he said as he stood up. "Okay then, man, if only
I had my arrows with me..." Raymond replied, Axl nodded at Shrubby and replied "Well, lets kill some wall-
crawlers!" Shrubby began to climb up the vines camoflauged by his body, when he reached the top he began
collecting any loose sticks, nuts etc. in order to execute an idea he had. Axl used the fins on his arms
to home in on the walltulas, a technique only those of great fame or royalty could perform. While Raymond
simply sat down on a nearby ledge telling everyone about how he didn't expect the Deku Tree's interior to
look what it looks like.

After Axl and Raymond reached the upper floor of the Deku Tree, they noticed a door that was covered by a
web, Axl and Raymond walked over to the door curiously, Axl turned to Shrubby "You coming?" he asked "No
thank you, I'm a bit busy here." Shrubby replied, when Axl turned back to the web, he saw Raymond had
already used a burning Deku Stick to burn the web away. "Thanks" Axl told him "No problem!" he replied as
the two entered the door. Inside was a room with a treasure chest on the other side of the room, an unlit
torch, three platforms and a small ledge with nothing but a boulder inside., the puzzle seemed to be
obvious, Raymond used the burning Deku Stick he held to light the torch, which caused the platforms to
rise, after that Axl jumped using the platforms to the other side and opened the treasure chest, which held
a Compass inside, it seemed to hold all the locations of the treasures, even of a gigantic monster! Axl
jumped back to Raymond and the two took a short glimpse of the Compass before heading back to the main
room.

When they arrived back in the main room, Shrubby, now reduced to mere crawl due to the excess weight he was
carrying, looked at Axl and asked "Axl, can you drop me down towards the web? I think I can break through
it now." "With pleasure..." Axl replied, he walked over to the heavy Deku Scrub, picked him up, and threw
him over the nearby ledge. Using his newfound weight Shrubby managed to smash through the web below like a
stone landing in water, unfortunately the hole below was quite large and the pool Shrubby could see below
seemed to look quite shallow, nobody could see what had happened when he hit the bottom though, but the
faint scream of a Deku Scurub could be heard coming from the hole.

Axl jumped down to ground level and shout down "Shrubby, You alive!?" only to hear a slight bubbling from
below, which Axl, being a Zora translated it as "Help!" Axl thought 'Uh-oh...' he climbed down some vines
that were growing out of the hole and pulled Shrubby to dry land when he landed at the bottom. Shrubby was
Ok though and managed to blow the water out of his systems with ease. "It's a good thing that I was taught
to hold my breath when the Great Deku Tree was teaching me how to swim." Shrubby replied, still coughing up
water. "But I still forget to keep my breath held..." Raymond soon followed by climbing down the vines
"Dang it, I should've took swimming lessons from the Zoras from my travels, I can't believe theres this
much water!" he said jumping onto a nearby platform. As Raymond dusted some dirt off his clothes Shrubby's
attention was fixed on a block that was resting upon a higher ledge, after noticing that the ledge was too
high was one to simply climb up, Shrubby turned to Axl and asked "Do you think you can boost me up there so
I can help you up, whom you can push the block down for quick use?" "Sure." Axl replied, he picked up
Shrubby and gave him a boost up to the higher ledge, who in turn helped Axl and Raymond climb up. "Now we
just need you to push it into the water." Shrubby told Axl "Leave to me." he replied as he promptly pushed
the block into the water below with ease, the team could now use the block as a shortcut.

Now everyone could see the higher ledge in full view, there was another hole with vines growing out of it,
blocked by a giant web much like the hole at the entrance was, two Deku Babas that looked withered, a small
hole in a wall that was covered by a web, there were also two lit torches, but they were too high to reach.
Shrubby turned to the hole in the floor and asked "So, what do we do about this web, There's no place to
jump from that's high enough this time." "Hold on, I've got a plan." Axl said, he whispered it to Raymond
who laughed evilly, Raymond kneeled onto the floor next to one of the torches as Axl picked up Shrubby, and
lit him on fire! Axl threw the burning Deku Scrub into the web-covered hole, which burned as expected,
Shrubby screamed in agony as he fell through the hole, Axl and Raymond could only hear a loud splash and
the chime of recovery as Shrubby hit the bottom.

When Shrubby managed to surface he saw a large, circular room with another barred door and four Deku Scrubs
walking around and talking in Scrubian, the natural language of Deku Scrubs, he could see Axl had already
jumped down and thought one of the Deku Scrubs was Shrubby "No hard feelings, right Shrubby?" he
apologized, but instead of 'him' replying, 'Shrubby' along with the two other Deku Scrubs, instead shot
Deku Nuts at Axl, full force. Axl yelled in agony as he was pushed into the water by the force of the Deku
Nuts, Raymond jumped down and slashed the Deku Nuts with his sword hoping they'd reflect back at the
Scrubs, but there was no effect, the nuts simply shattered. "Dang it!" he shouted as Shrubby walked out of
the water "I never want to go for a swim again." he said, he looked up at the three Deku Scrubs and shot a
Deku Nut at the middle one, out of habit. Axl decided to get some revenge too, he used his fins to home in
on the third Deku Scrub, while Raymond took care of the first one, but unlike the others that just sat down
stunned, this one spoke "How did you know our secret?! How IRRITATING! It's SO annoying that I'm going to
reveal the secret of Queen Gohma to you! In order to administer the coup de grace to Queen Gohma, strike
with your weapons while she's stunned. Oh Queenie...Sorry about that!" It revealed as it ran away "These
Deku Scrubs sure are weird." Axl laughed as everyone saw the barred door unlock itself "According to the
compass something big is behind that door." Axl warned as the trio walked up to the door...and entered it.

The new room was very dark, it was almost impossible to see the details of the room, but what everyone
could make out was that it wasn't dark in the room, it was a strange type of fog, "Urgh, what kind of fog
is this!?" Raymond wiped his eyes, when suddenly, everyone heard a scream coming from the ceiling of the
room. "There's just this...bad vibe I get from..." Axl began, but was interrupted by a large blob of green
saliva dropping onto his face, wondering where it came from Axl looked up "Oh my Nayru...!" He shouted, there
was a large Gohma and a female zora attached to the ceiling of the room! The Gohma dropped from the
ceiling and looked at Axl while spreading it's legs as balance, while the Zora attached to the ceiling
looked down at Axl screaming and yelling, hoping he would be able to free her. while the others were busy
with the Gohma, Axl used his fins to cut the rope that held the girl hostage, unfortunately that meant the
girl harshly fell onto the floor, but strangely enough it didn't seem to harm her, the girl seemed to have
a dagger on her. She swiftly maneuvered around the Gohma and climbed onto it's thorax, keeping her grip
with her left hand the girl stabbed the Gohma in it's large, single eyeball before being thrown off by the
Gohma which then climbed onto the ceiling and began laying eggs which hatched upon landing, it must've been
a Queen Gohma!

Axl grabbed his scythe and used it to quickly dispose of the newborn Gohmas, Raymond and Shrubby helped
too, but didn't kill as many Gohmas as Axl, as the Queen Gohma stopped laying eggs, the Zora girl kept her
eyes fixed onto the beast as it climbed back down to ground level, staring at the heroes, Shrubby now
proceeded to shoot Deku Nuts at the Gohma, which in turn stunned it for a short time, now, seeing her
opportunity, the girl leapt at the Queen and made one final slash at it's eye before stabbing it right
through the eye, splitting it into two pieces. Dying from the sheer pain and exaustion, the Gohma made one
final swipe at Axl before finally taking it's last breath, defeated...

As the Gohma's remains burst into flames, a Heart Container and a portal appeared in the centre of the
room, Axl, being hurt from the Gohma's last attack took the heart container and used it to heal his wounds,
wanting to thank him for freeing her, the Zora girl walked over to Axl and hugged him, saying "Thank you. I
thought for sure that Gohma was going to make me its dinner!" Axl replied asking "No problem, what's your
name anyway?" to which the girl replied "Aila...and you?" the girl responded "Axl." her reply was,
instantly realising the zora who saved her was the heir to the Zora Throne, she took a bow, to which Axl
promtly put her back onto her feet and said "No time for that here, lets go, we have to take you home." to
which Aila nodded, the team walked into the portal victorious, with Shrubby having new hope about his
friend...

**Welcome to Hyrule Castle!**

"We're back, Great Deku Tree!" Shrubby greeted as he ran up to the Great Deku Tree, the tree gave out a
sigh, and began "Shrubby...there's something I need to tell you..." "what is it Great Deku Tree?" Shrubby
asked "Shrubby...I'm sorry for letting you know this...but was doomed from the start...I was never going to
make it in fist place..." he confessed, which made Shrubby shed a few tears, as the two shared a moment,
Raymond looked on "Wait...what?" he confusingly asked, Aila stared at the dying tree, and frowned "You will
be missed..." was all she could say, Axl just turned his back to the tree, obviously eager to progress.
The Deku Tree told Shrubby "Before you leave...I must give you this..." as the sky turned dark, making even
Axl turn around out of curiosity, when suddenly there was a flash of light, when the light cleared, in
Shrubby's hands rested an Emerald-like Jewel, Shrubby knew what it was from an old story the Great Deku
Tree told him when he was young, Aila, Raymond and Axl walked over to the jewel in order to take a good
look at it. "It's the...the..." Shrubby began "Yes Shrubby, it is the Kokiri Emerald, one of thy three
Spiritual Stones, I bestow it upon thou and thy friends in order to keep it safe from harm, now, children,
do you have time to listen to thy last words?" The Great Deku Tree asked "No." Axl replied, but Shrubby
made him listen anyway.

"Before time began, before spirits and life existed three golden goddesses descended upon the chaos that
was Hyrule. Din, the goddess of power, Nayru, the goddess of wisdom and Farore, the goddess of courage.
Din, with her strong flaming arms, she cultivated the land and created the red earth. Nayru poured her
wisdom onto the earthand gave the spirit of law to the world. Farore, with her rich soul, produced all life
forms who would uphold the law. The three great goddesses, their labors completed, departed for the
heavens. And golden sacred triangles remained at the point where the goddesses left the world. Since then,
the sacred triangles have become the basis of our world's providence. And, the resting place of the
triangles has become the Sacred Realm..." The Deku Tree explained, the explanation of the creation had
bored everyone to the point where Axl and Raymond were fast asleep, only Shrubby seemed to listen
perfectly. "I'm afraid my time has come, children... With my last breath, One must direct thy to Hyrule
Castle, there you will meet the princess of destiny-" The Great Deku Tree was interrupted by Axl "This is
no time for a riddle..." "As you wish, her name is Zelda...she...is..." The Great Deku began, but stopped
mid-sentance, his face was lifeless as the once-rich bark was reduced to a petrified grey, and the forest
green leaves drained to a dull brown...A tear could be seen from Shrubby's left eye as he said his final
goodbyes.

"Zelda? The Princess of Hyrule?" Aila wondered "Don't worry guys, I know the way!" Raymond said, Axl turned
to everyone, and challenged "Alright, so I'll race you to the castle!" and as soon as he finished, he broke
out into a run, followed by Aila, who quickly made it to Hyrule Field in no time, looking behind everyone
ten seconds or so to ensure she was in the lead, but as soon as she was looking, Axl rushed past her, in a
way that made it look easy! This made Aila yell in suprise, not wanting to be beaten she sped up to her
maxinum speed, with a trail of dust behind her as she ran, she swiftly overtook Axl, but this victory was
short lived however, as Axl managed to dash past her while she was distracted, Aila tried to speed up
again, but she was too weak to run now, while back at the forest, Raymond in an annoyed manner shouted
"WHAT!? They're leaving us behind?! Ugh, I shall not stand for this!" as he began to chase after the two
zoras as fast as he could. Back in the field, Aila was slowly managing to keep Axl in her sights, she could
hear more running from behind her, and when she turned to look she saw Raymond rushing up behind her! She
screamed and ran out of Raymond's path.

Axl was first to arrive at Hyrule Castle Town, and found it to be quite busy! There seemed to be a sale
going on, there were so many people Axl found it a hard time to navigate! Since the others wouldn't catch
up to him for a few minutes he decided to have some fun, using his slingshot he managed to score a perfect
Ten in the shooting gallery, his prize was a larger pellet bag, so he could shoot more without needing to
relead as often. When he finally made his way towards the castle, he saw Aila was waiting for him, with
Raymond running up behind him, being slightly late. "Where's Shrubby?" Axl asked "He probably went ahead
again." suggested Raymond, while Aila just gave a small shrug, and the trio continued up to the castle
gate, where they were stopped by a guard, who obviously refused to let them pass "Halt! You can't enter
the castle unless you are royalty..." the guard began, but was interrupted by Axl "I'm Axl prince of the
Zoras and heir to the Zora throne..." he told the guard in a very bored manner "AND have the proper
permissions, now begone!" the Guard finished, he was right, all the times Axl had visited the Hylian royal
family, he was either delivering a message to the king, or in a meeting that his father was in, the guard
began pushing the team in the direction of the town, but this didn't stop them, as soon as the guard was
out of sight, Axl climbed up some vines hat were growing on a nearby wall, which coincidentally was
connected to the castle, this allowed easy access to the main gate, Axl managed to avoid the patrolling
guards and climb over the castle walls followed by Aila and Raymond, who did the same.

As the team looked for a suitable entrance into the castle, they came across a small entrance around one of
the sides of the castle, but it was over the moat, any Zora with a longlike Axl or Aila could easily jump
the gap, but a Deku Scrub like Raymond would surely have problems, apart from the small entrance, there was
also someone sleeping next to a few crates of milk, "What the...what's that fatass sleeping here for? I
guess we'll have to wake him up." Raymond said as he walked over to a bucket, and began to collect water
from the castle moat, while Axl had his own ideas "I know a way to wake him!" Axl said, he stepped back a
little, then ran as fast as he could and jumped onto the man, normally a blow like that could wake up
anyone, but the man didn't budge even slightly, he just kept sleep-talking about Lon Lon Ranch, which was
a Ranch just south of Castle Town, meanwhile Raymond's buscket was now full, but he was struggling to keep
the bucket upright as he tried to walker over to the man, after he eventually made it, he poured the
freezing cold water over the man, which instantly woke him up. "Go home already." Axl told the man, which,
being half awake, did straight away. "Okay, now that we woke up the fat man in our way, can we all help
Aila now?" Aila said as she began to push the crates of milk, hoping that, when piled on top of eachother
would be tall enough for Raymond to jump from, Axl helped out, but the crates were too heavy for Raymond to
move, so he just gave directions to the nearest spot. After all the creates had been moved, Raymond was
given a boost up onto the crates, where he easily managed to jump to gap from such a height, luckily, the
small entrance was big enough to fit all three of our heroes.

The interior of the castle looked spectacular! Of course this wasn't an unusual sight for a regular visitor
like Axl, but the well-carved statues and expensive decor left Raymond and Aila speechless for a few
moments, when they managed to take their eyes off the glamourous walls, they realised that while they were
distracted, Axl had already gone ahead without them! Discreetly avoiding the guards, Aila and Raymond
managed to catch up to Axl, who was hiding behind a bush. "The red ones are faster than the others." Axl
warned, these guards don't play games that's one thing, but managing to sneak past them is another, Axl
went first, he managed to hde inside a nearby bush, and make his way from there, Aila went next, when the
guards were out of her sight she ran in short bursts, and eventually arrived at the other side, Raymond
used his plant-like features to camoflauge him into the garden, using this technique all three made it
across, and proceeded into a circular courtyard, in this Courtyard was a girl, dressed in royal clothing,
spying through a large, narrow window. Axl approached this girl, asking her "Zelda?" the girl turned to
Axl, and gasped "!!! Prince Axl, why are you here?" "Princess Zelda... We were sent here by the Great Deku
Tree..." Aila said as she gave a bow.Axl began to explain to the girl, which was obviously Princess Zelda
from her response about the old man and his quest. While he was explaining, however, Raymond suddenly
"remembered" something "O-oh wait, that fat 'plumber' is the ranch owner! S-so I gotta...!" He said before
running off, followed by Aila, who wondered what he was up to.

After explaining what he'd done, Axl held up the Kokiri Emerald to Zelda, unsuprisingly, her eyes widened
and she gasped loudly "So...does that mean...are you..." Zelda began "I had a dream...In the dream,
dark storm clouds were billowing over the land of Hyrule...But suddenly, six rays of light shot out of each
region, parted the clouds and lit up the ground... The light turned into a Zora holding a green and shining
stone, followed by a Deku Scrub, a Hylian, a Kokiri, a Sheikah, a Gerudo, and four Fairies...
I know this is a prophecy that someone would come... Yes, I thought you might be the one..." Zelda stopped
for a second "Oh, I'm sorry! I got so carried away!" then continued "...so...Axl, that is why you and your
team must collect the other spiritual stones, only then will I bestow upon you the treasure of the royal
family of Hyrule in order for you to be able to gain access to the Sacred Realm, the treasure...the Ocarina
of Time!" "By the way...The dark clouds that appeared in my dream, I believe they symbolise that man."
Zelda pointed to a window, in which a black man wearing dark armour, a big nose and jewel upon his head
was bowing to the king "Even though he swears loyalty to father, I believe he's lying..." Zelda said "I
tried to tell father about my dream...but he wouldn't listen...you believe me...right?" Zelda asked, to
which Axl replied "Yeah, I believe you, that man looks too ugly to be on our side." Zelda laughed slightly
at Axl's comment about the man being ugly "His name is Ganondorf, I believe he deisires the Spiritual
stones, much like the one you hold in your very hands..." Zelda looked at the spiritual stone Axl held in
his hands, then continued "Your next target is Death Mountain, the Goron leader Darunia has the next
spiritual stone, you can reach Death Mountain via Kakariko Village, however, you normally can't climb the
mountain for safety reasons, that's why I give you this." Zelda handed Axl a note, it stated that him and
his team were allowed to climb Death Mountain. "Thanks." Axl said goodbye, but as he was leaving, he saw a
woman, dressed in grey.

Meanwhile...
Aila had caught up to Raymond and blocked his path "WHERE are you going!?" She asked "Urgh...okay...fine...
you know how people treat Deku Scrubs? I mean, 'NO DEKU SHRUBS' is racist if you ask me, RACIST, I don't
even want to see what Zelda would think of me." Raymond spat out, Aila was about to reply, but Axl had
already returned "Hey guys, I just talked to Zelda." Axl said "So what do we do now? You've talked to
Zelda..." Aila asked "We have to go to death mountain." Axl told his two companions, Raymond and Aila
nodded, and began to walk towards Kakariko, they would've nmade it there, but a voice interrupted them
"MISS AILA!" it shouted, causing Aila to look in the direction she thought the voice was coming from "Oh
no." she facepalmed, everyone could see that in the distance, a Zora had appeared to be running up to the
team from the direciton of the domain " Miss Aila!!" it shouted "What?" Aila asked as the Zora reached her
"Aila, your parents are worried sick! They thought you died after you were kidnapped by that spider!" the
Zora said "But-" Aila began "No buts, come on, you have some apologies to give to your parents, say goodbye
to your...frien.d..s..." The zora had spotted Axl, and the Zora in an intstant broke out into a bow "My
apologies Prince Axl, Miss Aila was recently kidnapped by a spider, I'm sorry if she interrupted your
quest." the Zora explained as he began to take Aila back to the domain "See you." waved Axl to Aila, as the
young female was walked over towards the domain with the Zora. "What...What was that all about?" Raymond
asked as soon as Aila was out of sight "No idea." Axl laughed, they continued heading towards Kakariko
village, wondering how Queen Gohma had grabbed Aila in the first place...

Ok, I bent the rules a bit with Aila having parents and a Butler, but it's better than my original idea of Aila's Death Mountain phobia, which sounded TERRIBLE, anyway,don't worry, that's not the last you'll see of Aila or Shrubby.

**Oranoas, Steel!?**

"Hey I was wondering, how did you get out of the Castle that quick?" Raymond asked, the two heroes were at
the entrance to Kakariko Village "Impa showed me out." Axl replied, "Uh... Impa...?" Raymond asked in a
confused manner "She's the guardian of Zelda." Axl explanined "Ah, whatever then, let's go." Raymond said,
and the two entered the Village.

Axl gave the guard the note Zelda had given him, but instead of letting him pass, he only broke out in
laughter, "Is...Is...Is the princess playing some sort of...joke!?" he laughed, Raymond was silent, but
listening to the guard, Axl stepped forward "Just let us go up..." He demanded "Haha, I can't you let you
up, boy, you're a Zora, you'll die of dehydration, but you're probably too young to know what that
means...!" The guard laughed. Axl was about to rip the guard into tiny shreds, but a voice interrupted him
"Hey! You people over there!" the voice shouted, Raymond took a look around the village, there was a pre-
teen boy dressed in a cloak approaching them "I need you to he-" The person began, but stopped when he saw
Raymond's face "Oh wait... You're just kids!" he laughed "What is it with the residents around here?"
Raymond whispered to Axl. "We can still help out though." Axl turned towards the boy. "Yeah, I got a Sword
while Axl here has a Scythe." Raymond argued, Axl pulled out his scythe to show the boy "My dad gave it to
me." he said, while Raymond pulled out his own weapon "I robbed the Bazaar months ago, It's lucky they
don't remember me now." The boy raised an eyebow, and said "Well, That still doesn't help though. I have a
part-time job of archaeology, and I think I'm on to something." the boy explained, "Well, if you can excuse
us we're on a hunt to find two priceless elemental jewels." Raymond told the boy "Well, I will go o- wait
what?" the boy said "Spiritual Stones. we were selected by Princess Zelda to obtain them before an evil guy
with a huge nose named Ganondorf does."Yeah, and I'm helping out because I really wanna prove that Hylians
are rasict towards Deku Scrubs." Raymond said "Except for Zelda." Axl added on to Raymond's sentance. "I
bet I could find something valuable with you guys, heh, Maybe I'll even get a silver rupee! Well, where ae
you guys going?" the boy asked "Who are you anyway? My name's Raymond, and the other guy's Axl." Raymond
introduced "Oh, I'm Oranoas." the boy replied "Well, where're you guys going?" Oranoas asked "Death
Mountain." Axl replied. Raymond turned to the guard "Unless you want to help us beat up the Guard, this
might take a while..." he threatened to the guard, which in a scared manner stepped back "N-no no.....you
can p-pass..." he walked over to and pulled a lever which opened the gate, allowing the team to begin their
long climb up Death Mountain...

"Well, that was easy enough!" Raymond laughed "well...Is it okay if I follow you guys for awile? I already
told you my name." Oranoas asked, to which Axl nodded "I have this hammer, it's not much, but it you need
to uncover anything, ask me, ok?" Oranoas said "well...I guess we COULD use your hammer for smashing
rocks..." Axl replied walking up the mountain. "It's not THAT strong, but I can use it to smash vermin that
get in the way." Oranoas told him "NOW LET'S DINNIN' GO ALREADY!" Axl said, running up the mountain "Don't
run too fast!" Oranoas was struggling to keep up with the speeding Zora, who had ran so fast he couldn't
see where he was going...and slammed into a monster, known as a teketite, "Slow dow..." Oranoas began, but
stopped when he saw the teketite "Oh snap!" he cried. Axl was about to beat the living daylights out of the
creature, but another voice interrupted him, much like what happened earlier in Kakariko Village, "WOAH!!!"
the voice yelled, and sound of a blouder crashing into something could be heard. "What was that?" Raymond
asked, who had just managed to catch up, the team began looking around for the source of the voice, and
eventually Oranoas found something, it was a boy, and by the looks of things a boulder slammed into him
while he was climbing the mountain, and judging by the clothes he was wearing, he was a Kokiri from the
forest, the team jumped down to the boy, and wondered if he was ok, he seemed to be ok though, as Oranoas
spotted him slowly reaching for a dagger that was in his pocket.

The boy opened his eyes and stood up with his dagger in hand, after concluding the team meant no harm, boy
shouted out "SON OF A... MY HEAD HURTS!" "Are you ok?" Oranoas asked. "Yeah...I think I'll..." the strange
Kokiri began, but then fell over a rock and landed flat on his face. "Ow." he said, he got back up to his
feet again, and saw Axl slash his scythe at the Tekitite he slammed into earlier "That's weak, HERE's out
you do it!" the boy grabbed his dagger, he leaped behind the Teketite, Stabbed it and then slashed at it's
exposed backside before performing a finishing move by jamming his sword straight into the Teketite's
eyeball, complete with a fancy sheath. "Well that a overdramatic don't you think?" Axl said "Well anyway,
Name's Axl, the Deku Scrub over there is Raymond, and the guy in the cloak is Oranoas." he introduced
"Steel!" the boy replied "I gotta climb this mountain to have some 'Biggoron' guy make my sword shiny
but... uh... some stupid boulder ran over me over! ...can I come with you guys until I'm done?" Steel asked
"I don't see why not." Axl replied "Well, we gotta go talk to Darunia." Axl said as he and the team began
cllimbing the mountain again, this time hoping to not be interrupted by someone else "Lets g-" Steel began,
but got smacked in the face by a boulder mid-sentance "Hmm... This is going to be challenging..." Raymond
said, walking up the mountain.

"Man, I hope I don't get run over by a goron." Raymond said, but just as he finished that sentance, a Goron
rammed into him, as if on purpose "WATCH WHERE YOU'RE STANDING!!!!!!!!" the Goron roared into Raymond's
face, "Oh sure! Just try to target somebody and then waste the blaming talk on a TRAVELLER!" he shouted
back, a silence followed "I don't think that was a good idea..." Oranoas said, Steel had by now caught up
with the team and cheered "FIGHT!" "FIGHT!" "FIGHT!" but was stopped by Oranoas as the Goron charged a roll
and unleashed it, however luckily Raymond, being light and agile managed to avoid the attack, giving
Raymond time to draw his blade, and a fight soon followed.

While Raymond and the unknown Goron were fighting however, Steel sneaked away from the fight and began to
make his way to Biggoron, but found himself blocked by a boulder "Aw no! How the din am I supposed to get
to Biggoron now!?" Steel said as he sat down on a small rock "Need some help?" A voice called, Steel turned
towards the voice, the voice was Axl, who was walking towards him, he must've followed him up the mountain.
"Yeah...I need bombs..." Steel sulked "I happen to have some." Axl showed Steel a small bomb that looked
like a fish "They fire a high pressure water jet that can break through almost anything." Axl explained
"Watch and learn..." Axl said, he lit one of the odd bombs with two peices of flint, he then placed the
bomb next to the boulder which was blocking the way, and bstarted to run clear of the bomb "RUN!" he
shouted to Steel as he ran past him, Steel ran clear too, "Remember, that water can cut through almost
ANYTHING." Steel turned away from the bomb explosion when it happened, but when he turned around, his
Hylian Shield had been cut in half! "Woah!" Steel smiled, but when he climbed up the ledge, he found
Biggoron wasn't there "What!? After all that he's not there!?" Steel cried "He'll be back later, for now,
lets just head to the city, I got a real craving for Cherry Rock Freeze at the moment." Axl said, Cherry
Rock Freeze was a sweet, it consisted of small, frozen cherry flavoured rocks that even a Deku Scrub could
eat.

When Steel and Axl arrived at Goron City, they found the Gorons there were very, VERY, hungry "What
happened?" Axl asked the nearest Goron, who sat up from his rolled position and told him "Our main food
supplier...DODONGO'S...CAVERN...GOT OVERRUN BY...DODONGOS..." Axl was confused for a moment, and replied
"So? Can't you you just beat them up?" "WE WOULD'VE... BUT... A BOULDER... BLOCKED... THE...CAVERN..."
"Ain't Death Mountain made of rocks?" Steel asked "WRONG TYPE...WE CAN ONLY EAT... CERTAIN TYPES OF
ROCK..." the Goron told him, "Thanks anyway." Axl said as him and Steel jumped down to the bottom floor
"Damn... they blocked the door to the shop..." Axl said looking a large stone door blocking the entrance to
the shop "Can't ya just use a bomb like last time?" Steel asked "It's Adaminor. one of the hardest minerals
ever." Axl replied, looking up from the door he spotted a wall, but it was written in Gorin, the native
language of the Gorons, luckily for him though he spoke fluent in Hylian, Gorin and slight Scrubian, he
translated 'Um...the orb of water will not help you break this rock... you need the Goron Special Crop..."
Steel looked on confusingly "What the heck's the Goron Special Crop!?" he asked "It's Goron slang for
bombs." Axl replied "It'll take forever to get bombs though!" Steel objected "Lets see if Darunia knows
anything about the doors." Axl said, and he walked over to another locked door and stepped onto a grey
doormat, pulling out his zora guitar and playing a soothing tune, almost like a lullaby, in fact, it made
Steel wonder for a second if doors could be put to sleep. When Axl finished playing, there was a loud
rumbling sound, much like an earthquake, and the door in front of him opened, Axl and Steel didn't hesitate
to walk through the door, not wanting to waste any time.

Inside was a pitch-black corridor, not even Steel could be seen as Axl lead the way through it, at the end
was a small room, it held various treasures and ancient artifacts of the first Goron settlements, not eany
Goron could have this, in the room, standing in front of a statue, was the Goron leader, Darunia, He looked
pretty angry though "WHAT DO YOU WANT!?" Darunia yelled, "Stay there, my dad told me how to calm a goron."
Axl told Steel, he stood in front of Darunia and played a song, being from the forest, Steel instantly
recognised it as the song Saria always played, it broke Darunia into a terrible dancing routine, he went on
for hours, even making Steel fall asleep for half of it, and Axl very bored playing the same song over, and
over, and over... But after he finally stopped dancing, Steel woke up and demanded a way into the Goron
Shop "OK...AFTER THAT WONDERFUL SONG I'LL GIVE BOTH OF YOU A GORON BRACELET. IT LETS YOU USE THE GORON
SPECIAL CROP." Darunia said, and gave Axl and Steel each a small bracelet, which only just seemed to fit
them, they put the bracelets over their wrists, and the instant they did, they felt a burst of energy fly
through their systems, as if strengthening their muscles. "Wow." Axl commented "GO AHEAD, USE THE GORON
SPECIAL CROP." Darunia told them, the two heroes walked out of the chamber, and found themselves able to
pick up the bombflowers now, with their newfound strength they used the bombflowers to blow up the Adaminor
door that blocked the shop.

"Uh... I'll take a Cherry Rock Freeze, a Giant Watermelon Gumball, and a Raspberry Jawbreaker. oh, and a
bag of shadow chew!" Axl said "I wanna minature Shield and some LonLon milk." Steel said, as the Shopkeeper
bought over their erequested items, they calculated a total of 275 Rupees, "275 Rupees." the shopkeeper
told them, and the two handed over the amount for their respective items, Steel walked out after paying,
but Axl remained in the shop, he asked "Oh yeah, can you reinforce this sword?" the shopkeeper began to
laugh upon hearing this however "Hey, I'm not a blacksmith y'know! I only do sweets and stuff! Go talk to
Medigoron or Biggoron." he said "All right..." Axl replied walking out of the shop "Lets see if Biggoron's
back then." he said, and the two set off for the summit of Death Mountain.

After a few hours of running, climbing and getting bashed by falling rocks, the two finally made it to
Biggoron in a burnt and smashed up state, "OOOOOOOOO-KAY... I'LL TOUCH UP YOUR SWORD A BIT." Steel gave
Biggoron his equipment, and, wanting his equipment reinforced too, Axl handed Biggoron his Scythe, it was a
short wait, but eventually the two were handed their equipment back, complete with a sharper edge and
shine. The two were about to go back to the others, but Steel noticed that one of the walls looked funny
"That wall looks weird!" he said while walking over to inspect it "Yeah, it looks like it's being covered
by leather." Axl replied, also walking over to it, "Lets plant a bomb then and see what it does!" Steel
suggested, Axl placed a Zora Bomb onto the ground and lit it before running to safety with Steel, a large
explosion soon followed, and the 'wall' was revealed to be a secret passage through the mountain. "Lets go
in." Axl said as he lead Steel through the passage, the passage was much like the one leading to Darunia's
room, dark, straight, and quiet. At the end of the passage, was a strange fountain "Wait, what the heck is
this place?" Steel asked spotting a step with the mark of the royal family in it. Axl saw this, and walked
over to the spot "Let me see something." he said, and played the strange song that he played outside
Darunia's room back in Goron City. Suddenly... a great flash of light blinded the two heroes, when they
could eventually see again... they saw a huge, beautiful fairy floating over the fountain...
